FACILITATOR TRAINING WORKSHOP
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: February 2-10, 2011

International Training Partners will host a workshop for training facilitators for the Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills Workshop (SYIS). This workshop focuses on the learning process and content of the SYIS Workshop. Intense, hands-on experiential training prepares participants in adult learning principles as well as providing the tools needed for facilitating SYIS workshops. The number of participants will be limited to sixteen.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
Following SYIS Workshops in 2008, 2009 and 2010, participants have resoundingly requested this Facilitator Training Workshop to equip them to take the principles and skills to their church organizations and mission agencies. Priority will be given to training Ethiopian facilitators in this workshop, with a few places to be filled by participants from other countries in East Africa. The newly trained Ethiopian facilitators will serve in SYIS Workshops hosted for local Christian workers and international missionaries. There are two experienced SYIS facilitators currently living in Addis Ababa. They will be serving as members of the training team for this Facilitator Training Workshop. Following the workshop they will provide coaching for the newly trained facilitators as they engage in their first SYIS Workshops.
