FACILITATOR TRAINING WORKSHOP
Bogota, Colombia: August 8-14, 2010
International Training Partners will host a workshop for training facilitators for the Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills Workshop (SYIS). This workshop focuses on the learning process and content of the SYIS workshop. Intense, hands-on experiential training prepares participants in adult learning principles as well as providing the tools needed for facilitating SYIS workshops. The number of participants will be limited to sixteen.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The SYIS Workshop has become a vital resource to Christian leaders and church workers in Colombia. This Facilitator Training Workshop (FTW) will focus on training new SYIS facilitators associated with several local church movements. The newly trained facilitators will serve in SYIS workshops hosted for Colombian Christian workers and missionaries serving in remote parts of Colombia and Brazil. This will be the second FTW to be hosted in Colombia. The first was held in early 2005 and the facilitators trained in that FTW have gained a great deal of experience through leading multiple SYIS Workshops in Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Peru. Three of the most experienced facilitators from the first FTW will serve as trainers in the upcoming FTW in August 2010 and provide follow-up coaching for the new facilitators as they engage in their first workshops.
FINANCIAL DETAILS
Participants will cover their expenses for travel, accommodations, tuition, and materials. International Training Partners is seeking special project contributions of $1,500 USD to go toward travel costs for trainer team members. Gifts are tax deductable and may be sent to the address listed above. For additional information please contact Paul Lere at plere@itpartners.org.
